Anthony first enjoyed his painful experiments with glass as a young man stripping paint off a house with a gas burner. Curiosity compelled him to melt some broken glass he found in the garden and that led to a self directed adventure into working with neon. An epiphany watching Robbie Reddy blowing glass on the coast drew Anthony like a moth to the flame. A brief stint at Whanganui Polytechnic learning basic blowing skills gave life to the drive to become a self-taught glass-blower.
For over 35 years now Anthony has created glass and neon sculptures. As a professional artist, Anthony dedicates himself to the arts, and constantly seeks new and innovative ways to create his art
"I am constantly evolving my work and pushing the boundaries of glass, exploring and exploiting the painterly qualities of hot glass.”
