A beautiful table lamp lovingly created by repurposing timber from the old Days Bay Wharf in Wellington.

“There is a great satisfaction that comes from reclaiming and preserving old timbers and ultimately repurposing them in a way that is sympathetic with the past, with every old bolt, nail hole, and carpenter’s mark reflecting the story of the wood and those whose skills have crafted, worked and shaped it”.

The wharf timber is Australian Jarrah, a very dense and durable wood that is part of the Eucalyptus family (Eucalyptus Marginata).

An Edison bulb is supplied and the lamp comes with its own written story including the source and history of the timber.
