This beautiful serving bowl has been handcrafted by New Zealand wood turner / carver Gavin Brunton. It’s made from Taraire timber and has a beautiful natural wood look.

Beilschmiedia Tarairi, commonly called Taraire, is a tree of the family Lauraceae, endemic to the North Island of New Zealand.

All the wood Gavin uses comes from trees which have been damaged in storms or are being pruned for other reasons.
