This beautiful Hei Matau Pounamu (greenstone) pendant has been carved by Kerry Thompson (Ngati Paoa) and Amanda Thompson (Nga Puhi).

The Hei Matau is a fascinating and culturally significant piece. The indigenous people of New Zealand, Maori, used Hei Matau similar to this one, to fish. Today, the Hei Matau pendant is believed to bring the wearer good luck during journeys, especially when travelling over water

It comes on a black braided cord, that is adjustable.
