The Tarata, or lemonwood tree is found throughout New Zealand in lowland forest. When the leaves are crushed they emit a distinctive lemony smell. These earrings model the distinctive wave-like undulating leaf margins of the Tarata and catch the ambient light in a beautiful way when worn. 

This Tarata leaf pendant is made by hand cutting pure silver plate, filing, sanding, soldering and patterning with a scribe. Attached to a sterling silver chain.
