A fun Skink ring created by local silversmith Gina Goad from Heylo. Gina’s work is piled high with personality as well as drawing on Kāpiti’s coastal vibe and Aotearoa’s amazing wildlife. Each piece is hand-crafted and uniquely Heylo.

NZ Skinks are the most frequently encountered reptile in New Zealand, often glimpsed in gardens running for cover.They can be seen head bobbing and quivering their tails at each other when excited. The New Zealand skink species vary in colour and size, with the longest (chevron skink) attaining a length of 350 mm.
