Are you looking for a unique handmade gift that celebrates NZ's biodiversity? This adorable little felt Wayeye brooch will make a great gift for bird lovers of all ages. Carefully handcrafted each one by a local textile artist Hayley Meehan.

The intricate felt pieces are carefully hand cut from soft 100% wool felt sheets and hand stitched with love using high quality cotton/satin DMC threads. Birds are filled with new soft synthetic toy filling, finished with a backing pin.

Tautou, also known as wax-eye or sometimes white-eye, are small olive green forest birds easily recognisable by striking white rings around their eyes.
